BEATRICE - A large part of Beatrice was without electricity, at mid-morning, Thursday.

Power was out in the west part of the city, starting at around 10:35 a.m. Electric Superintendent Pat Feist says a problem developed at a city substation located along U.S. Highway 136.

Feist says power was restored to all customers by around 11:30 a.m. He estimates about 250 to 300 customers were affected by the outage, in the west part of the city.
