If one candidate for Congress in Omaha gets her way those endless TV commercials touting one drug after another will be ending, sort of.

Democrat Ann Ashford has announced plans to place limitations on the ads which she says allows the country's major drug companies to mislead consumers.

Ashford says the commercials come up short explaining the cost of medication and influence consumers to request drugs they don't need, pushing up the cost of treatment.

Ashford is running against Democrat Kara Eastman.

The winner of next year's Democratic primary likely to face GOP Congressman Don Bacon in November 2020.
