NORFOLK - Winter weather is continuing to affect travel in Northeast Nebraska this evening.

The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of our coverage area. The advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday evening.

The main hazards expected will be reduced visibility across the region due to blowing snow, as well as howling winds in excess of 45 miles per hour at times. The Norfolk airport registered a gust of 51 miles per hour earlier this afternoon.
