Former Creighton star Kyle Korver was officially sent to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

The 38-year-old Korver and fellow guard Jevon Carter were traded to Phoenix for Josh Jackson and De’Anthony Melton. Korver likely won’t be staying in Phoenix, as the Suns are expected to buy out his contract.

The trade was first reported Wednesday.

Korver has played for five teams during his 16-year NBA career. He played most of last season with the Jazz, appearing in 584 games off the bench. Last month, he was sent to Memphis as part of a deal that brought Mike Conley to Utah.

He has averaged 9.9 points per game during his career, shooting 42.9% from 3-point range. He is fourth in NBA history in career 3-pointers.

Korver, a second-team All-American in 2003, is the only Creighton Bluejay to play in four NCAA tournaments.
