NORFOLK - A northeast Nebraska business is damaged after a weekend fire.

Norfolk Fire officials were sent to the Elkhorn River Plaza on East Omaha Avenue Saturday morning.

Fire inspectors say crews saw smoke when they arrived, but no flames. They had the scene overhauled within about a half-hour.

No one was hurt.

There's been no official cause of the fire released but officials at the scene told News Channel Nebraska that he fire started at a workbench and spread to the wall.

Authorities say the employees of the shop got the fire out with a garden hose before crews arrived.

The building houses four different Norfolk businesses and sustained about $15,000 worth of damages.
