ANTELOPE COUNTY - According to the Antelope County Clerk, the bond for a new school for Summerland has passed.

According to the unofficial results of the vote, the bond passed 981-371. The passing of the bond seemingly clears the way for the full consolidation of the Ewing, Clearwater and Orchard school districts. The three schools already co-op for all sports except for football as the Summerland Bobcats.

Construction of the new school is expected to cost $34.3 million and will be located centrally between the three communities. It will be about 127,500 square feet and pre-k - 12th grade will be taught at the school.
