Ex-UNL athletic director’s son sentenced in child porn case

LINCOLN - The 20-year-old son of a former University of Nebraska-Lincoln athletic director has been sentenced to six months in jail in a child pornography case.
Jack Eichorst pleaded no contest in September to two misdemeanor counts of child pornography possession by someone under 19. The Omaha World-Herald reports he was sentenced Monday in Lancaster County District Court. Investigators say several videos and images of child pornography were found on Eichorst’s phone.
Eichorst was arrested in 2017 on suspicion of the sexual assault of two minors, but prosecutors opted not to bring charges in that case. Eichorst's attorney, Sean Brennan, has said Eichorst is autistic and that his level of sophistication and maturity was well below that of his age.
Eichorst's father is former University of Nebraska-Lincoln athletic director Shawn Eichorst, who was fired in September 2017.
