A Scottsbluff Elementary school was briefly placed on lockout Wednesday after a situation involving a heavy police.

SCOTTSBLUFF - A Scottsbluff Elementary school was briefly placed on lockout Wednesday after a situation involving a heavy police.

Scottsbluff Schools tweeted out Wednesday around 1 p.m. that Lincoln Heights Elementary is currently in lockout due to police activity near the 200 block of West 23rd Street.

The tweet says that no one will be permitted in or out of the school at this time.

Around 2 p.m., the school said the lockout was lifted.

The reason for the police presence is unknown at this time, we will update you on this story as more details become available.
