PLATTE COUNTY - With water levels rising in central Nebraska, meteorologists said flooding along the North Platte and Loup rivers is possible.

Platte County Emergency Management said what it's seeing is normal for this time of year and that it's keeping an eye on conditions.

They said they are concerned that water levels in both rivers are a little a higher than normal because that can cause more severe flooding if ice jams start to happen.  They said the good news is they're not seeing thick ice, so ice jams are less likely to happen.
