BEATRICE - Wednesday was National Signing Day for many high school athletes across the nation, and numerous athletes in the KUTT/KWBE coverage area signed their letters of intent for college sports, including nine from Beatrice High School. They are:

Mariah Allen - Midland Volleyball

Andrew Mahoney - Doane Football & Track

Veronica Pinkerton - Hastings Cross Country & Track

Carley Leners - Hastings Basketball

Blayden Bayless - Nebraska Football

Brayden Cook - Southeast CC Golf

Hannah Lytle - Nebraska Wesleyan Softball

Macy Scott (Fillmore Central) - SCC women’s basketball

Brylie Hartwig (Freeman) - South Dakota track

Colby Theis (Sterling) - Southeast CC women’s basketball

Owen Kuntz and Ezra Moyer (Crete) - Doane football

Five over Crete student athletes signed for Doane track and field. They are:

Zach Fye, Zach Turner, Carter Reckling, Trevor Malone and Jaedon Lothrop. Zach Fye is the son of Doane track and field head coach Ed Fye.
