Wanted Man Arrested For Alleged Domestic Assault
NORFOLK - A Norfolk man who was wanted by police is in jail for an alleged domestic assault.
Norfolk Police say on Saturday around 1 a.m., officers were called to an apartment in the 900 block of Syracuse Avenue for a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they could hear a woman screaming from one of the apartments.
Officers forced entry and located the woman and man.
The man was identified as 30-year-old Tyson Tilden.
Norfolk Police says officers are familiar with Tilden and knew that he had three active arrest warrants.
The woman told police that Tilden was yelling at her, wouldn't allow her to leave and physically assaulted her.
Authorities say this all occurred in the presence of a small child.
Tilden was arrested for the warrants, third degree domestic assault, first degree false imprisonment, and child abuse.
