KIMBALL - For the second time in his life, Brian Pearson is a lottery winner.
The Kimball man claimed his $280,000 Pick 5 winnings from the Nebraska Lottery this week. His ticket from Vince's Corner in Kimball matched all five numbers - 04, 07, 11, 13 and 29 - in the March 28 drawing.
Pearson says he chose the numbers in honor of his late wife. He played her birthday and the date she passed away.
“She’s my guardian angel,” he said.
Pearson has also won from the Colorado Lottery. He played a scratch ticket and won $25,000.
All proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska. The jackpot starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each time a drawing is not won. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 501,942.
