KIMBALL - Two more positive cases of the COVID-19 virus have been confirmed in Kimball County by the Panhandle Public Health District.

The announcement Thursday comes a day after two other positive cases were confirmed in the county. That brings the total positive cases in the panhandle to eight: five in Kimball County and three in Scotts Bluff County. There have been no deaths.

The two people in the latest confirmed cases, who were not identified, are in quarantine and being monitored by health officials.

Contact investigations are underway to identify any close contacts.

Any close contacts will also be asked to monitor their symptoms and will be tested if they show any symptoms.

A list of possible exposure locations for the two cases confirmed Wednesday night will be released later Thursday.

In Logan County, Colorado, there have been six confirmed cases. Laramie County, Wyoming is up to 36 positive cases. There have been no deaths in the two counties. No one in the two counties has recovered from the virus yet.

Both Goshen County, Wyoming and Phillips County, Colorado have one positive case.
