Drive-thru COVID-19 testing coming to Nebraska Panhandle

Panhandle Public Health officials announced Wednesday afternoon that drive-thru testing sites will be coming to six area communities this weekend.
The testing sites will be in Sidney and Oshkosh on Saturday, May 9, Bridgeport and Alliance on Sunday, May 10, and Chadron and Gordon on Monday, May 11.
Health officials say they've met with local health care facilities and city officials to determine specific sites for the testing to take place. Those specific sites will be announced later.
There will also be a website for people to schedule a time to get tested. Panhandle Public Health says they will publish a link to website at a later time. NCN will keep you updated when more information is announced.
Health officials did say the signups would not be available until the day before testing at a specific site. For example, if someone wanted to sign up to get tested in Sidney on Saturday, signups will not be available until Friday.
If you have symptoms now or think you should get tested sooner, contact your health care provider.
