LINCOLN – A death in Gage County is one of three deaths related to COVID-19 that were reported to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services on Tuesday.   That death was a man in his 80s who had underlying health conditions.

The Dakota County Health Department also reported a death in its jurisdiction, and the Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department reported its third death.

A first case of COVID-19 was reported Garfield County on Tuesday. 

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state is now 103, with the state coronavirus case total, now at 8,692.

In the Public Health Solutions Health District covering five southeast Nebraska Counties....from Saturday through Monday....new cases included 47 in Saline County, one each in Gage and Jefferson Counties, and no new cases in Fillmore or Thayer Counties.

Over that same period , a total of 229 test results were received with 49 of those results positive.

The total number of cases for the PHS district now stand at 414.
