LINCOLN - Lincoln Police have arrested a man after they responded to a stabbing near 10th and Garfield Street on Saturday at around 10 p.m.

According to LPD, three roommates had an argument, and two of the roommates wanted the third, Jodi Horward, 42, to leave.

LPD said the 42-year-old man, as a result of the argument, stabbed one of the roommate's friends in the neck.

According to officials, the roommate's friend, a 34-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in critical, but stable, condition.

Horward was found by officers trying to hide a bloody knife in a nearby backyard.

He was taken to the hospital for an injury to the leg caused by a piece of glass. It's unknown whether this injury was related to the stabbing incident.

Horwart has been charged with first degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon once he is released from the hospital.
