STANTON COUNTY - Authorities in Stanton County say two teenagers are lucky to escape serious injury after a rollover accident on Tuesday.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to and investigated a one car rollover accident on 838th Road near 559th Avenue, southeast of Norfolk Tuesday afternoon.

The Sheriff's Office says the accident happened when an SUV failed to negotiate a right turn and lost control, rolling onto its top.

Authorities say the 17-year-old driver and his fifteen year old passenger were wearing seatbelts that are credited with preventing serious injury.

Both declined medical treatment from Norfolk Fire.

Speed was considered a contributing factor.
