STANTON COUNTY - One person is injured after an accident involving a tractor in Stanton County.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says the accident happened near the intersection of 566th Avenue and Highway 275 on Tuesday afternoon.

Sheriff Unger says 64-year-old Brian Brovont of Norfolk was southbound on 566th and lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled into a ravine that's around 15 to 20 feet deep.

Brovont was then flown by medical helicopter to Mercy One in Sioux City for treatment.

Authorities say that restraints were not in use at the time of the crash, and that Brovont's injuries are considered serious.
