County closes buildings due to COVID-19 concern
Due to a COVID-19 cases increase in a southeast county, public buildings are taking rigorous precautions.

HEBRON- Due to COVID-19 cases increasing in southeast Nebraska, public buildings are taking extra precautions.
The Thayer County Commissioners are closing all county public buildings until further notice due to a rapid increase in the amount of COVID-19 cases.
The first building to close was the courthouse, followed by the Treasurer's Office. According to a Thayer County Courthouse Facebook post, the Thayer Treasurer's office closed because of a COVID-19 exposure.
Pubic Health Solutions District Health Department reported eight positive cases from county residents recently.
Health officials say all new cases are being related to two different golf tournaments.
