LYNCH - There's been a mountain lion sighting in northeast Nebraska.

According to the Boyd County Sheriff's Office, this mountain lion was spotted in Lynch on Friday.

The office says there is no reason to believe the mountain lion is a threat to the public it is still asking the community to use caution and be vigilant.

If you happen to cross paths with the mountain lion the office is asking you to contact them immediately and DO NOT approach it.
