BANNER COUNTY - Officials continue to work on a wildfire in the Wildcat Hills Monday.
Emergency Management Region 22 Coordinator Tim Newman says the fire is about 85 percent contained as of Monday morning.
He says after the fire flared back up in Red Flag conditions on Sunday, crews were able to catch and put down the fire when it got to County Road 67 in Banner County.
Officials estimate around 4,000 acres have burned as of Monday.
Newman tells News Channel Nebraska they have crews patrolling the fire area putting out hotspots. He says they will most likely have crews on the fire for at least the next 48 hours.
