The man now at the center of a year-long Nebraska State Fair scandal is due back in court later next month.
The board's former Finance Director Patrick Kopke is accused of stealing thousands from the Fair before he resigned last November.
A state audit called into question nearly 150 thousand dollars in undocumented transfers to businesses allegedly tied to Kopke.
Prior to his resignation Kopke told the board the fair was heading toward bankruptcy.
At the same time the board was involved in several other financial and personnel disputes that resulted in lay-offs and a new executive director taking over.
Kopke's next court hearing is scheduled for October 29th.
