SIDNEY, NE - After nearly 70 years on the air, KSID is moving.

"Moving downtown is going to put us right in the middle of things and I'm really looking forward to that," KSID Sports Director Randy Brown said.

Later this year, KSID will be making its way out of Legion Park and into downtown at 836 10th Avenue.

It’s been nice to be right across the street from the ballpark, but we want to be closer to all our friends in Sidney.

"Whether it's for Cruisin' Night, the Oktoberfest parade or just during local shopping events, we're going to be really excited that we can just walk out our doors and be right here, part of the community," KSID Station Manager Hunter Arterburn said. "We're really excited to be down here."

Just because KSID is changing homes, it doesn’t mean we’re changing too. We’ll still be here to bring you all the news, weather, sports, programming and events you’ve come to expect from KSID.

"It kind of was family," Brown said. "If someone needed something, somebody here stepped up. It's nice to see that that's carried over with Flood Communications. It's kind of the same thing. It's kind of a family."

Our spot at 2306 Legion Park Road has a lot of history packed into it, but our ambitions are too big for our current home. This move into a bigger, more centralized space will help those dreams become reality.

"News Channel Nebraska is committed to Nebraska, including and especially Sidney, Nebraska," Flood Communications and News Channel Nebraska CEO Andy Ruback said. "We couldn't be more happy to move downtown and continue our investment in Sidney, Nebraska."

Whether you’re in Sidney, Kimball, Potter, Chappell, Bridgeport or anywhere else in the Panhandle, keep your dial tuned to KSID because we have big plans for the future and want you along for the ride.

"You really see the pride of downtown Sidney and we cannot wait to be a part of it," Arterburn said. "I think it'll be a fantastic move for not only us, but it's going to be a fantastic move for the entire community. We're going to be a lot easier to access."
