STANTON COUNTY - Authorities say a Stanton woman was lucky to escape serious injury after a rollover accident.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to and investigated a one-vehicle rollover accident on Old Highway 8 about three miles East of Stanton around 4 p.m. 

Authorities say the accident happened when an eastbound Jeep lost control on the county road and left the roadway rolling in the south ditch hitting several small trees.

The Sheriff's Office says the driver was not wearing a seat-belt and declined medical transport at the scene.

The car is considered a total loss.
