Despite record early voting, election officials in Omaha are expecting the final turnout numbers to be similar to several recent presidential elections.

The head of the Douglas County Election Commission is predicting a 70 percent turnout this year up from 69 percent four years ago.

In 2008, when President Obama was elected, turnout hit nearly 73 percent.

A 70 percent turnout this year would translate into 261,000 votes in the state's most populous county.
