Omaha Police to help with security detail at inauguration
OPD has assisted with security and crowd control at the last four inaugurations, starting with President Bush's second term in 2005.

OMAHA, Neb. -- With security for the inauguration of President-Elect Joe Biden expected to be at an all time high, 13 members of the Omaha Police Department will be part of the detail.
OPD has assisted with security and crowd control at the last four inaugurations, starting with President Bush's second term in 2005.
According to OPD, as many as three thousand officers from federal, state, county and other local jurisdictions will be on the ground in Washington.
Biden takes the oath of office at the US Capitol on Wednesday, January 20th, exactly two weeks after the building was stormed by violent protests.
