In case you missed it Ben Sasse is at it again.

The Nebraska Republican Senator, playing the role of canary in the coal mine, warning that his GOP faces an immediate choice.

According to Sasse, “We can dedicate ourselves to defending the Constitution and perpetuating our best American institutions and traditions, or we can be a party of conspiracy theories, cable-news fantasies, and the ruin that comes with them.”

That and more in Sasse’s lengthy Atlantic magazine look into the Republican Party entitled, “QAnon Is Destroying the GOP From Within.”

Other dimes dropped by Sasse: House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy “failed the leadership test” when he welcomed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene into the GOP caucus; Taylor Greene (who has at the very least expressed support for QAnon) is “cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.”

Sasse doesn’t talk about his political future (see NCN's recent report here) which finds plenty wondering if he’s running for the White House in 2024 looking to represent the Republican Party after President Donald Trump.
