LINCOLN - While the 2021 NSAA girls and boys state basketball tournament will look different than other years, it will remain in Lincoln.

Questions initially arose about the site of the tournament due to potential crowd limitations in Lincoln. The situation was further complicated after the NSAA was told the Bob Devaney Sports Center could not serve as a game site for either tournament due to the University of Nebraska volleyball team's season being pushed back to the winter because of COVID-19.

Both the girls and boys tournaments will be played out over five days, and the typical two-game sessions will be reduced to one-game sessions to account for occupancy limitations.

Games will be played at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Lincoln Public Schools high schools.

The girls tournament now will begin on March 2, and the boys on March 9.
