GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A longtime central Nebraska business is expected to be a total loss after the roof collapsed early Monday morning.
First responders were called to Skate Island in the morning after motion detectors started going off.
About 75 percent of the roof collapsed under the weight of the snow on top.
Skate Island owner Steve Anderson doesn't know exactly what comes next for the business he and his family have been operating for 52 years.
He says he doesn't know if it is a situation where he and his family will be able to reopen. He says he's unsure of what a timetable for recovery may look like.
