Scotus Shoots The Lights Out In 66-39 Victory Over Lakeview
COLUMBUS - The Scotus Shamrocks caught fire from beyond the arc on Saturday afternoon, hitting 11 three-pointers in a 66-39 victory over Columbus Lakeview.
The Shamrocks jumped out to an early 16-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, and increased their advantage to 12 by halftime. Scotus senior Josh Faust scored 14 points in the first half to keep the Shamrocks on top.
From there Scotus continued to stay in control, outscoring the Vikings 33-18 in the second half to roll to its seventh victory of the season. Scotus freshman Jackson Heng provided a major spark off the bench, hitting five three-pointers in the second half to help pull Scotus away from Lakeview.
The win improves the Shamrocks to 7-13 on the season, and they will close out the regular season campaign on the road against Aquinas Catholic next week. Lakeview is now 3-17 after its tenth loss in its last eleven games, and will try and bounce back against Central City next Friday.
