STANTON, Neb. -- A woman is recovering from injuries after a weekend car accident in northeast Nebraska.

The Stanton County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident about 12 miles west of Norfolk on Highway 275 Saturday morning.

Authorities say the driver tried to pass a NDOT snowplow when the driver lost control of the car and hit a snow embankment.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities say the driver was unrestrained at the time of the accident.
