LINCOLN — The Hartington Cedar Catholic girls basketball team lead wire-to-wire and beat South Platte 46-37 on Wednesday at Lincoln Southwest.

The Trojans (19-7) advance to face Weeping Water in the semifinals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday on The New 94Rock. South Platte ends its season at 20-3.

Brynn Wortmann was on fire to start the game. The senior buried consecutive three-pointers then converted a layup after a teammate stole the ball as part of the Trojans’ full-court press.

South Platte cut its deficit to as little as six points in the third quarter but could never make it a one-possession game.
