SIDNEY - The National Weather Service office in Cheyenne is still expecting widespread blizzard conditions on Sunday, especially along the Nebraska-Wyoming border into southeast Wyoming, with the forecast unlikely to improve until early Monday morning.

The weather service says a mix of rain and snow continues around Sidney and Alliance, but will eventually transition to all snow later Sunday morning.

"This will cut into storm total snow accumulations for these areas, but 5 to 10 inches of snowfall is still expected today," the NWS said. "For the rest of the area heavy snowfall and blizzard, to near blizzard conditions are ongoing. Here at the office in Cheyenne, we have measured 10 inches of snowfall in the past 4 hours."

A blizzard warning includes Cheyenne, Kimball, Banner, Scotts Bluff, Box Butte, Morrill, Laramie and Goshen Counties continues until 6 a.m. Monday.

As of early Sunday morning, Sidney and Harrison had received one to three inches of snow, Kimball had anywhere between four to eight inches, the foothills in Colorado and Wyoming were up to around one to two feet.
