(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State women's golf team garnered a third-place finish in its first tournament of the spring 2021 portion of their season.

The Bobcats competed in the Graceland Spring Invitational which was contested at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville, Mo., on Friday and Saturday.
 
Iowa Lakes Community College won the meet which featured four complete teams and several other individual competitors. Iowa Lakes had a two-day total of 753 having rounds of 384 and 369.
 
Waldorf (Iowa) was second with rounds of 399 and 382 for a 781. Peru State was third with scores of 403 and 397 for a total of 800. Hastings was fourth with a two-day total of 843.
 
Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) finished as the Bobcats' top finisher as she tied for third with a two-day score of 179 – nine strokes off the winner. Finke had rounds of 90 and 89.

Vivian Brown (Wichita, Kan.) finished in a tie for fifth with scores of 89 and 92 for a two-day total of 181.
 
Gretchen Tharp (Rock Port, Mo.) had rounds of 107 and 101 for a score of 208 to finish 17th.
 
Brooklyn Brenneis (Tekamah) was 24th with a total of 232 having shot rounds of 117 and 115.
 
Allison Tichy (Bellevue) was 26th with rounds of 122 and 125 for a total of 247.
 
Kayla Myers (Sidney, Iowa) was 28th with a two-day total of 272 after rounds of 131 and 141.

Peru State is competing in the TPC Deere Run Invitational in Silvis, Ill., on Monday and Tuesday.
 
On Thursday, April 8, the Bobcats will be hosting their own tournament at the Table Creek Golf Course in Nebraska City beginning at 10 a.m.
