The Gordon-Rushville boys finished as runner-ups and the Lady Mustangs were 3rd at Monday’s Western Trail Conference track meet in Mitchell.  Bayard won the girls championship and Mitchell won the boys side.

 Jayla Brehmer and Haley Johnson led the Gordon-Rushviile girls with a trio of gold  medals.  Brehmer won the 400m while Johnson took first in the 800m.  The pair were also members of the winning 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams.

The Gordon-Rushville boys swept through the relays, winning the 4x100m, 4x400m, and 4x800m relay.

Jace Freeseman picked up top honors in the 400m, Aydon McDonals won the 300m hurdles, and Elijah Jackson won the triple jump.

The Mustangs are off the track until they travel to Valentine on Friday.
