Taylor Briggs takes over Bridgeport volleyball program

BRIDGEPORT, Neb. (KNEP) - Bridgeport High School will have a new head volleyball coach for the upcoming season.
Longtime head coach Jackie Rahmig announced she will be stepping down after more than a decade of coaching the Bulldogs.
Rahmig leaves Bridgeport with over 200 wins and a host of all conference players.
As for the future of Bridgeport volleyball, that was announced this week as Mitchell graduate Taylor Briggs will guide the Bulldogs.
Briggs was set to be an assistant for Bridgeport but will now take the reigns. She has been around coaching her whole life with both parents coaching at Mitchell High School.
Her mom former longtime volleyball head coach and current track and field head coach Michelle Peters. Briggs has been an assistant coach at Axtell High School.
Briggs will inherit a program coming off a 20-11 season and features some of the area’s top all around athletes.
