LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska is offering a new way to see the Big Red in action this fall, and they're going to need folks to buy them. The Husker football team announced via Twitter on Wednesday that it is officially opening up Memorial Stadium to full capacity for the 2021 season.

Mini ticket plans for Husker football went on sale Wednesday morning. Each plan costs $195, and fans can select tickets from three of six Husker home games. The only one unavailable with the plans is the Nov. 6 matchup with Ohio State. Those interested in purchasing a mini-plan can do so via Huskers.com. Full-season plans are also still available for the upcoming season.

The Huskers will open up the season Aug. 28 at Illinois. Nebraska's first home game of the season will be against Fordham on Sept. 4.

The Huskers' last home game at full capacity was a 27-24 loss to Iowa on Nov. 29, 2019. Nebraska's sellout streak was put on pause during the 2020 season, as the Big Ten limited attendance to family members and media.

The Big Ten kept those rules in place until March, when they elected to allow local health departments to determine capacity restrictions.

After missing out on ticket revenue and other financial benefits related to live sporting events, former Athletic Director Bill Moos had said that Nebraska would finish roughly $37 million in the red for the fiscal year that ended in June. NU made a record $13 million profit in fiscal year 2019-20.
