SARPY COUNTY, Neb. -- Friday evening the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and the Omaha Fire & Rescue, both responded to a two-vehicle collision on Harrison Street, just east of 162nd Avenue. 

Police say that Sarpy County Sheriff's Sergeant came upon the crash seconds after it had occurred, and before any 911 calls had been received. 

The Sergeant had requested Air Methods LifeNet medical helicopter to be placed on standby, and for Omaha Fire & Rescue to respond for patients with critical injuries.

LifeNet was then requested to launch and respond to the scene due to there being severely injured parties. 

The head-on collision occurred between a GMC Sierra pickup and a Kia Optima sedan. The driver of the GMC was identified as Brian Donica, age 32, of Sarpy County. A boy was also a passenger in the GMC at the time of the crash. 

The driver of the Kia was identified as Michael Kell, Age 55, of Bellevue. There was also a passenger in the front-seat of the Kia, Tiffany Bucci, age 42, of Omaha. 

Donica and the boy were transported by Omaha Fire & Rescue to Nebraska Medicine Omaha with minor injuries. 

Bucci was transported by Omaha Fire & Rescue to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy with critical injuries. 

Kelly was transported by LifeNet to Nebraska Medicine Omaha with critical injuries. Police say that Mr. Kelly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Nebraska Medicine Omaha. 

Police say that it is believed there may be witnesses to the collision that Crash Investigators have not been able to identify. They ask that any witnesses to this accident contact the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office Crash Response Unit at 402-593-1546.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office Crash Response Unit. There are no further details that will be released at this time, due to the infancy of the investigation.
