Rollover crash kills 32-year-old in Scotts Bluff County
SCOTTSBLUFF - The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's office is investigating a fatality accident near County Road U and County Road 36 in the southeast corner of Scotts Bluff County.
Sheriff Mark Overman says a 32-year-old man died in a rollover accident when traveling west on County Road U at approximately 4:24 a.m. He lost control of the vehicle, entered the south ditch and rolled one and half times.
The name of the driver has not been released, pending notification of kin. He was ejected from the vehicle.
A 27-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. He was transferred to Regional West Medical Center for treatment.
Overman says the occupants were not wearing seatbelts and alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
The Minatare/Melbeta Fire Department and Air Link also responded to the scene.
