SANTEE, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska school district is going remote because of COVID-19.

Santee Superintendent Todd Chessmore said in a statement on the school's website that the Knox County school district is going remote this week.

Chessmore called it a proactive measure after finding out about what he called potential super-spreader events.

The district did announce last week multiple positive cases at their early childhood development center.

Chessmore says the district expects to be back to in-person classes next Tuesday.
