BEATRICE - Gage County law officers have announced an arrest in the theft and arson of a pickup truck and trailer happening last July, southeast of Beatrice.

Investigators say 29-year-old Tara Beu, of Lincoln was arrested in the arson and theft investigation, on Friday.

Last July 6th, a pickup and construction trailer containing tools and equipment were stolen from a south Beatrice location.  Both were located on fire, in a rural area southeast of the city. 

Beu has been arrested on suspicion of theft, arson and criminal mischief.  Gage County Sheriff's Investigators were assisted by Beatrice Police and the Nebraska Fire Marshal's Office in the probe.

Beu is being held in the Gage County Jail.
