Liptac named new Westco Zephyrs head coach

The Westco Senior Legion baseball team will have a new head coach to start the 2022 season.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Westco Senior Legion baseball team will have a new head coach to start the 2022 season.

After four seasons Jeremiah Luber has announced he is stepping down as Zephyrs head coach. Luber in a statement decided to make the decision in most part so he can spend more time with his young family.

In addition Westco announcing that former player and former assistant coach Dallas Liptac will take over the Zephyrs program.

Liptac who also played at Western Nebraska Community College was a Zephyrs assistant for one year before taking over as Express head coach for three seasons.

Last year he took time away from coaching but is excited to make a return to the diamond to guide the Zephyrs.
