Five tornadoes in area, EF-2 tornado at Beaver lake

VALLEY - The National Weather Service has confirmed 19 tornadoes in Nebraska on Dec. 15.
An EF-2 is reported three miles northeast of Nehawka. It was 3.5 miles long with peak winds of 125 mph. It was 150 yards wide.
The tornado removed the roof from a house, slightly moved a house on its foundation, snapped some large pines and oak trees, damaged farm buildings and snapped power lines.
An EF-1 tornado was reported six miles southwest of Pawnee City. It was 20 yards wide and .18 miles long. Maximum wind of 105 mph damaged outbuildings and flung debris.
An EF-1 was reported four miles south of Union. It was .1 miles long and 200 yards wide with peak winds of 100 mph.
The tornado snapped power poles and left swirling patterns in an Otoe County cornfield.
A EF-0 with peak winds of 90 mph traveled for 2.1 miles near DuBois. Half of a large building was destroyed.
An EF-1 traveled for .8 miles east of Pawnee City. The brief tornado damaged several outbuildings and removed a wrap-around porch from a house.
The EF-2 tornado at Beaver lake was 2.6 miles long and 200 yards wide. It had peak winds of 125 mph.
It took a roof off a residence, snapped hardwood trees and damaged a horse farm.
