Riders on Amtrak across Nebraska have been running into some delays.

Eight eastbound runs on Amtrak’s Zephyr, which travels from California to Chicago were more than four hours late getting into the Windy City during the first 10 days of July, according to Trains magazine.

We’re also told that on four westbound Zephyr’s arrived on the West Coast more than six hours late.

The magazine reports that the delays found many passenger missing their connections costing Amtrak money for alternate transportation or hotels.

One rider reportedly received three vouchers totaling nearly 26-hundred dollars after three trips were disrupted.

Most of the delays are blamed on weather or mechanical problems.
