Ricketts: AG Garland, FBI Director Wray may need to resign

When it comes to the fallout from the FBI’s search warrant sweep of former President Trump’s Florida home, Gov. Pete Ricketts is echoing the words of many Trump supporters.
Ricketts calls the action a raid and ramps up the rhetoric arguing that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray may need to resign.
Ricketts was asked about the Justice Department’s actions during a Monday news conference.
Gov. Pete Ricketts: “What we need to have from the Justice Department and the FBI is more transparency. For example, having the affidavits that supported the search warrant. Both the Department of Justice and the FBI have a recent track record of appearing to be politically motivated. If you think about the Carter page wiretaps, the Steele dossier, how they handled Hillary Clinton having classified information on her private server. So, I think we have to have more transparency. And in my opinion, it ought to be pretty serious to take the unprecedented step of rating a former President’s residence and if it's not AG Garland and Director Wray need to resign.”
On Monday the Justice Department asked a judge to keep sealed the affidavit underpinning last week’s search.
