PIERCE - Both Blue Jays squads got back on the winning track, as the girls bounced Battle Creek 41-23, while the boys were victorious 37-33.
Skylar Scholting led the way for Pierce with 15 points, and Hadley Wragge chipped in 8 points, 4 rebounds and a key block down the stretch. Sami Wemhoff topped all Bravettes with 10 points.
Ben Brahmer paced the Blue Jay boys with 15 points, 6 boards and a massive alley-oop dunk, while Abram Scholting contributed 11 points and 4 rebounds. Jaxon Kilmurry had a big game for Battle Creek in a losing cause with 16 points, including 4 treys.
Pierce (12-4, 12-2) is at West Point-Beemer on Tuesday, while Battle Creek (8-8, 6-9) is at Howells-Dodge that same day.
