New Kearney Fire Chief Aaron Jameson, other officers receive badges at ceremony
The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating its newest leaders.

KEARNEY, Neb. — The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating its newest leaders.
Three fire officers participated in a badge-pinning ceremony at Tuesday’s city council meeting. During its 140th annual meeting, the department elected Aaron Jameson as its 28th fire chief. He succeeds Jeremy Feusner.
Jameson started his fire service career in Kearney in 2004. He then moved to Lincoln and spent five years with the Southwest Rural Fire Department. Since moving back to Kearney, he has served as a lieutenant, captain and battalion chief.
