O'NEILL - The Warriors dropped a five set heart-breaker to GACC on Tuesday night, but rebounded with a huge straight set victory over Battle Creek to take third place in the Mid State Conference Tournament on Thursday evening.

Crofton was ranked as the fifth overall seed heading into the tournament while Battle Creek was ranked third.

The Warriors and the Braves went back and forth in the opening set with both teams being tied at 18 deep into the set.

Crofton scored three straight points and used the momentum to take the first set 25-21.

The Warriors continued their strong performance into set two, winning 25-17.

In the third set, Crofton hopped out to an early 7-2 lead, but Battle Creek fought back and made it 8-7 early. However the Warriors pulled away once more and finished the sweep with a 25-18 victory.

Crofton's Caitlin Guenther finished the game with 10 kills and helped the Warriors offensive attack.

Sophie Humphrey and Sami Wemhoff led the way with 7 kills each for Battle Creek.
