Yosten's 27 points propel Norfolk Catholic over Stanton
NORFOLK - Make it two straight wins for Norfolk Catholic as the Knights cruise past the Stanton Mustangs 57-28.
It was also a breakout game for Avery Yosten, the Norfolk Catholic senior leader who returned to the court this season after a leg injury.
Yosten was the hot-hand early in the game, scoring 13 points in the first quarter for Norfolk Catholic.
Stanton's Olivia Hupp scored 8 points in the first quarter to lead the Mustangs.
After one quarter, the Knights led 18-10.
The scoring continued for Norfolk Catholic in the second, as the Knights found success with Sidonia Wattier and Eva Hartzell's strong defense and transition offense.
The Knights continued to score, while holding the Mustangs at bay.
Norfolk Catholic finished the contest with a 57-28 victory over Stanton.
Avery Yosten found success everywhere on the court, scoring 27 points. Eva Hartzell put up 7 points and Sidonia Wattier scored 6 points in the win.
Olivia Hupp led the way for Stanton, scoring 12 points.
Norfolk Catholic moved to 2-1 on the year, while Stanton falls to 2-2.
