Last-second shot lifts North Platte to second straight win
NORFOLK - Clancy Brown's three-pointer just before the final buzzer completed an improbable comeback, lifting North Platte to a 46-45 road win over Norfolk on Saturday.
The Bulldogs had struggled from the field for much of the game, as Norfolk built a 12-point lead in the third quarter.
But North Platte's defense helped key the comeback, forcing 14 second-half turnovers as they chipped away at the Panther lead.
Brown's three from the corner as time expired wrapped up an 11-point fourth quarter for the senior. Brown's second half was a stark contrast from the first, where she went 1-8 from the field.
The win is North Platte's second in a row, while Norfolk drops to 1-5 after their win over Fremont on Friday.
